About Kaadedhdhoo Airport
Kaadedhdhoo Airport is a domestic airport on the island of Kaadedhdhoo in Gaafu Dhaalu (South Huvadhu) Atoll in the southern Maldives. Opened on 10 December 1993, it was the first domestic airport in Huvadhoo Atoll and continues to serve as a regional air link for the deep south of the country.
The airport sits about 3.7 kilometres south of Thinadhoo, the administrative centre of Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll, and provides domestic flights connecting the region with Malé and other parts of the Maldives. It also supports travel to the southernmost resort areas and onward connections toward Addu Atoll.
With a single compact terminal and a runway of around 1,200 metres, the airport handles domestic passenger operations in a straightforward, easy-to-navigate setting. Passengers arriving by air can continue to Thinadhoo and nearby islands by speedboat or local ferry from the jetty close to the terminal.
The airport offers basic passenger facilities including a waiting area, seating, restrooms and onward transfer options, making it a practical gateway for visitors travelling to the southern atolls of the Maldives.
