About Madivaru Airport
Madivaru Airport is a domestic airport serving Naifaru and Lhaviyani Atoll in the northern Maldives. Opened in February 2022, it was developed by Kuredu Holdings and is operated by Island Aviation Services Limited.
Located on the island of Madivaru, about 1.6 km from Naifaru, the airport has a 1,200-metre runway and a single passenger terminal that can accommodate four aircraft at a time. It connects Lhaviyani Atoll with Velana International Airport in Malé through scheduled domestic flights of around 25 minutes.
The airport is a short speedboat ride from Naifaru and within 10–25 minutes of resorts including Kuredu, Komandoo, Hurawalhi, Kudadoo and Innahura, making it a key arrival point for visitors to Lhaviyani Atoll.
The terminal includes an 80-passenger VIP lounge and basic passenger facilities. With its position close to Naifaru and the atoll's resort islands, the airport offers a convenient domestic gateway for onward travel by speedboat, local boat and resort transfer.
