Funadhoo Airport is a domestic airport on Funadhoo island in Shaviyani Atoll, in the northern Maldives. It opened in February 2020 and serves residents and visitors travelling between the atoll and the capital, Malé.
The airport is operated as a public facility and handles scheduled domestic flights operated by Maldivian. A single passenger terminal supports check-in, security, arrivals and basic passenger services, while the airport's 1,200-metre runway accommodates regional aircraft.
Funadhoo Airport is located approximately 219 km north of Malé, with direct flights taking about one hour. Because Funadhoo is an island, onward travel to nearby islands and resorts is usually completed by speedboat, ferry, or arranged transfers.
Ongoing improvements include runway lighting for night operations, a passenger lounge, a restaurant, and a baggage conveyor system, supporting more convenient travel across the northern atolls.
