Rundu Airport is a small regional airport serving Rundu, the capital of the Kavango East Region in northern Namibia. Operated by the Namibia Airports Company, it functions as a gateway to the town and the wider Okavango River area.
The airport lies about 5 km southwest of central Rundu and operates a single passenger terminal alongside a main asphalt runway. It can accommodate medium-sized aircraft and is used primarily for charter, general aviation and cargo traffic.
For many years the airport received weekly flights from Windhoek operated by Air Namibia; after the airline ceased operations in 2021, scheduled services stopped, and the airport now relies more heavily on charter, tourism and cargo operations. Customs and immigration services are available on call.
Road connections link the airport to Rundu town, lodges along the Okavango River and routes toward Angola, Divundu and the Zambezi Region. New terminal buildings have also been planned as part of a broader Namibia Airports Company infrastructure programme.
