Walvis Bay International Airport is the main coastal gateway serving Walvis Bay and the Erongo Region, and it functions as Namibia's second international airport. A modern passenger terminal was inaugurated in 2016, giving the airport a compact, single-terminal layout that handles domestic and regional flights to destinations such as Windhoek, Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Located about 15 km east of central Walvis Bay on the C14 road, the airport sits on the edge of the Namib Desert and provides convenient access to the town centre as well as Swakopmund, roughly 35 km to the north. It serves both leisure and business travellers, including visitors heading to the Skeleton Coast, Walvis Bay lagoon and the surrounding coastal attractions.
