Located on the eastern edge of Lüderitz, close to the historic mining town of Kolmanskop, the airport has a single compact terminal and two runways, one asphalt and one gravel. The airport lies about 10 km from the town centre and is usually reached by taxi or pre-arranged transfer in roughly 10 to 15 minutes. Regular public buses and shuttles are not available, so arranging transport in advance is recommended, and travellers should bring cash because airport amenities are limited.
