About Daegu International Airport
Daegu International Airport is the main airport serving Daegu and the surrounding North Gyeongsang region in southeastern South Korea. It began operating as a civil airfield in the early 1960s and became an international airport in 1996, when regular services to Osaka were introduced.
Located in the Dong-gu district, about 9 km from central Daegu, the airport handles domestic and international flights and serves both leisure and business travellers visiting the city and nearby destinations such as Gyeongju and Andong. Since September 2023, passenger operations have been divided between a domestic terminal and a separate international terminal.
The airport is connected to central Daegu by city buses, taxis, private transfers and road links, with the nearest subway station a short bus ride away. Journeys to Daegu Station and the Dongseong-ro area typically take around 20 to 30 minutes.
