Çukurova International Airport (COV)

Çukurova International Airport serves Adana, Mersin and the wider Çukurova region in southern Turkey. Opened on 10 August 2024, it replaced Adana Şakirpaşa Airport as the area's main commercial airport and now handles domestic and international passenger traffic for the region. The airport is located in the Tarsus district of Mersin Province, between Adana and Mersin, and provides access to key cities including Adana, Mersin, Osmaniye and Hatay. Its terminal building covers 110,000 square metres and is designed to support around 9 million passengers a year, with two 3,500-metre runways serving commercial and general aviation. Ground transportation includes Havamaş shuttle buses to Adana, Tarsus and Mersin, as well as taxis, private transfers, chauffeur services and car rental. Road access connects the airport to nearby cities and the Mediterranean coastal areas of the region. Passengers can use restaurants, cafés, duty-free shops, lounges, free Wi-Fi, charging points and other services while travelling through the terminal, making the airport a practical entry point for the Çukurova region.
