About Bodrum-Imsik Airport
Bodrum-Imsik Airport is a small single-runway airport located northeast of Bodrum in Muğla Province. It opened in the late 1980s and served Bodrum-area air traffic before the larger Milas-Bodrum Airport became the region's main passenger gateway in 1997.
Today the airport operates as a joint civil/military facility with a runway of about 1,570 metres, suitable mainly for smaller aircraft and general aviation. Scheduled airline services have shifted to nearby Milas-Bodrum Airport, while Bodrum-Imsik remains part of the local aviation infrastructure.
The airport lies around 24 km northeast of central Bodrum, near Mumcular. Road connections link it to Bodrum town, the Bodrum Peninsula and surrounding districts, with onward travel normally arranged by private transfer, taxi or rental car.
Passenger facilities at the airfield are limited, and most hotels, restaurants, banks and medical services are found in Bodrum. Travelers using private or chartered flights should confirm access and handling arrangements with their operator in advance.
