The airport has a single unpaved runway and a compact passenger terminal, handling small turboprop and light aircraft. Most traffic consists of charter and safari flights, with limited scheduled regional services operating mainly during daylight hours.
Located on the edge of Bagani, near Popa Falls and the Divundu bridge, the airport sits about 200 km east of Rundu and is reached along the B8 Trans-Caprivi Highway. Most visitors continue by pre-arranged lodge transfers or 4x4 vehicles, as regular public transport is not available at the airfield.
