Adıyaman Airport is the main airport serving Adıyaman and the wider Southeastern Anatolia region. It connects travellers to domestic destinations such as Istanbul and Ankara and provides a convenient gateway to Kahta and the Mount Nemrut area.
The airport's original facility dates to 1960, and its current passenger terminal opened in 2013. The modern terminal building covers about 23,000 square metres, has a designed capacity of 2.5 million passengers per year, and operates domestic services on a 2,500-metre runway.
The airport lies roughly 22 kilometres from Adıyaman city centre, with taxis, minibuses, shuttle services and car rental available for the journey to the city and surrounding districts such as Kahta.
