About Yeosu Airport
Yeosu Airport is the main domestic airport serving the city of Yeosu and the eastern part of Jeollanam-do on South Korea's south coast. It provides regular flights to Seoul Gimpo and Jeju and functions as a gateway for Yeosu, Suncheon and the Gwangyang Bay area.
The airport's current passenger terminal opened in November 2005, following runway improvements that began operating in November 2004. The single two-level terminal handles arrivals on the first floor and departures on the second floor.
Located in Yulchon-myeon, about 11 km northwest of central Yeosu, the airport is reached by city buses, taxis, private transfers, rental cars and road links connecting Yeosu and Suncheon.
Compact facilities including dining, cafés, a shop, a library, nursing rooms and accessibility services make the airport a convenient arrival point for visitors heading to Yeosu's coastal attractions, Suncheon Bay and the wider south coast region.
