About Trabzon Airport
Trabzon Airport is the main international airport serving Trabzon and the eastern Black Sea region of Türkiye. Opened in 1957, it is one of the oldest regional airports in the country and handles a mix of domestic flights and seasonal international services.
The airport is located on the Black Sea coast east of central Trabzon, close to the E70 and E97 road links. It has two passenger terminals: a domestic terminal and an international terminal, both operated by the General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMİ).
Trabzon Airport is about 6 km from the city centre, making the transfer short by taxi, private vehicle, airport shuttle or public transport. The compact terminal layout keeps arrivals, departures and onward connections easy to navigate.
