About Socotra Airport
Socotra Airport is the only commercial airport serving Socotra Island and its capital, Hadibu, in the Arabian Sea. Opened in 1999, it provides the main air link between the island and mainland Yemen.
The airport operates from a single passenger terminal and handles domestic connections as well as limited international flights, primarily to destinations such as Aden, Mukalla, and Sana'a. It supports both travelers and the transport of goods to this remote island.
Located about 12 km west of Hadibu and close to the town of Qadub, the airport is reached by road. Travelers generally continue by taxi, hotel vehicle, or pre-arranged transfer to Hadibu, Qalansiyah, and other parts of the island.
Passenger facilities are basic rather than extensive, with limited food, shopping, and seating. Visitors should prepare for simple services and confirm onward transport in advance.
