The airport sits at an elevation of about 1,200 metres and operates a compact terminal with a single asphalt runway approximately 1,190 metres long. It mainly supports domestic and regional flights within Yemen, serving the towns and communities of Ain District and nearby parts of Shabwah Governorate.
The airport is located close to Wadi Ain town centre, about 2 km away, with road access to nearby settlements such as Al Hajab and Harib, and onward routes toward Ataq, the capital of Shabwah Governorate.
