Seiyun Hadhramaut International Airport (GXF)

Seiyun Hadhramaut International Airport is the main airport serving Seiyun and the wider Wadi Hadhramaut region in eastern Yemen. It provides domestic connections and limited international flights, linking the area with regional destinations and supporting both local residents and visitors travelling through Hadhramaut.

The airport is located a short distance north of central Seiyun and operates from a single passenger terminal. During recent years it has served as one of Yemen's more consistently operational international gateways, with routes connecting the region to hubs such as Cairo and Jeddah as well as domestic points including Aden.

Its terminal houses check-in, arrivals, departure and transit areas, and has been upgraded with expanded passenger halls to improve the flow of travellers. Facilities remain modest but cover the essentials for arrivals and departures.

Road access is straightforward, with taxis and pre-arranged private transport available for the short journey into Seiyun and onward travel to nearby destinations such as Shibam and Tarim. This makes the airport a practical entry point for exploring the historic Hadhramaut Valley.
