About Rügen Airport
Rügen Airport is the only airfield on the German Baltic Sea island of Rügen. Opened in 1982 with a grass runway, it was later modernised with a paved runway in 1993 and a new terminal building with a control tower and restaurant in 1998.
Located about 8 km south of Bergen auf Rügen in the village of Güttin, part of the municipality of Dreschvitz, the airport serves regional domestic flights, private aviation and charter services. It operates as a regional airfield with a 900-metre runway and a single compact terminal.
The airport lies directly on the B96 federal road and near the Teschenhagen railway stop, with taxis and rental vehicles available for onward travel. It provides access to Bergen, Binz, Sassnitz and other seaside resorts on Rügen.
Passenger facilities are compact but practical, with a terminal restaurant and sun terrace. The airport also offers sightseeing flights over Rügen and the Jasmund National Park, along with flight training and general aviation services.
