About the Event
ITB Berlin is the world's leading travel trade show, bringing the international tourism industry together each year in the German capital for three days of business, knowledge exchange and networking. Since 1966, the event has served as a central meeting point for destinations, tour operators, hoteliers, transport providers, technology companies and travel professionals from around the world.
The 2027 edition takes place from Tuesday, 16 March to Thursday, 18 March 2027 at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. The show runs daily from 10 am to 6 pm and is promoted under the campaign "Travel & Tourism in Motion", reflecting an industry shaped by continuous adaptation, connectivity and reinvention.
As in previous years, the exhibition is organised both geographically by destination and by market segment. Dedicated areas cover adventure tourism, business travel, LGBTQ+ travel, luxury travel, medical tourism and travel technology, alongside MICE and talent, allowing buyers and suppliers to meet within clearly structured specialist zones.
Recent editions have brought together around 5,600 exhibitors from more than 160 countries and territories and nearly 100,000 trade attendees, underlining the event's international reach. The 2027 show continues this role as a global platform for destination marketing, product launches, contracts and partnership building.
The ITB Berlin Convention runs alongside the exhibition as a leading industry think tank. Across stages including the Orange Stage, Blue Stage, eTravel Stage and Green Stage, sessions address sustainability, digital transformation, consumer behaviour, resilience and artificial intelligence, with the new AI Track offering practical insight into technology in tourism.
The Maldives is the official Host Country of ITB Berlin 2027. The island nation will host the official opening gala on 15 March 2027 at the venue and present a national stand, cultural performances, networking events and press activities throughout the three show days, as part of its Visit Maldives Year campaign.
