About Rize–Artvin Airport
Rize–Artvin Airport is the main airport serving Rize and Artvin provinces on Turkey's eastern Black Sea coast. Opened on 14 May 2022, it was built on reclaimed land along the shoreline and is one of Turkey's sea-fill airports.
The airport is located in Yeşilköy in the Pazar district of Rize, about 34 km east of Rize city centre and 125 km from Artvin city centre. It operates a single passenger terminal with an annual capacity of around three million passengers and a 3,000-metre runway, supporting both domestic and international flights.
Onward travel is available by HAVAŞ shuttle bus, minibus, taxi, rental car and private vehicle, linking the airport with Rize, Pazar, Ardeşen, Hopa and other coastal and highland destinations.
Passenger facilities include cafés, shops, waiting areas, prayer rooms, free Wi-Fi and accessibility services, making the airport a practical entry point for the eastern Black Sea region.
