About Phu Quoc International Airport
Phu Quoc International Airport is the main airport serving Phu Quoc island and the surrounding Kien Giang coastal area. Opened in December 2012, it replaced the former airport in Duong Dong town and gave the island a modern gateway for growing domestic and international traffic.
Located in Duong To commune on the southern part of the island, the airport is about 10 km from Duong Dong town. Its single terminal complex handles both domestic and international flights, with domestic operations on one side and international arrivals and departures on the other within one connected facility.
The airport is linked to Duong Dong and resort areas by metered taxis, ride-hailing services, private transfers, hotel shuttles and a local bus route, making onward travel across the island relatively straightforward. Long Beach, Sunset Town, An Thoi and the northern resorts are all reachable by road from the terminal.
With restaurants, cafes, shops, lounges, free Wi-Fi, charging points, currency exchange and SIM card services, the airport functions as a compact and convenient entry point for visitors arriving on Vietnam's largest island.
