About Ordu–Giresun Airport
Ordu–Giresun Airport is the main air gateway for the Black Sea provinces of Ordu and Giresun. Opened on 22 May 2015, it was built on a filled artificial island just off the coast and is Turkey's first airport of this type, operated by the State Airports Authority (DHMİ).
The airport sits in the Gülyalı district of Ordu, about 18 km from Ordu city centre and 29 km from Giresun. A single terminal building handles domestic and international flights, connecting the region primarily with Istanbul and Ankara as well as some international services.
Havaş shuttle buses, taxis, private transfers, car rental and road links connect the airport with Ordu, Giresun and coastal towns along the Black Sea. Shuttle services are generally timed to flight arrivals and departures.
With a compact terminal, check-in facilities, cafés, a restaurant, shops and basic passenger services, the airport offers a practical arrival and departure point for travelers visiting the eastern Black Sea region.
