Muş Sultan Alparslan Airport (MSR)

Muş Sultan Alparslan Airport is the main airport serving the city and province of Muş in eastern Turkey. Opened in 1992, it provides scheduled domestic flights that connect the region with larger Turkish cities, particularly Istanbul.

Located about 17 km from Muş city centre, the airport has a single compact passenger terminal that brings check-in, security, waiting and arrivals areas together in one building. This simple layout makes it relatively easy for travellers to move through the terminal before and after domestic flights.

The airport is reached by taxi, shared minibus, local bus services, private transfers and rental cars, with a normal road journey to the city centre of around 20 minutes. From Muş, travellers can continue to nearby destinations such as Bitlis and Tatvan.

Although facilities are modest and geared toward regional traffic, the airport provides essential passenger services including seating areas, food and drink options, Wi-Fi, charging points and accessibility assistance. It serves as a practical gateway for visitors and residents travelling in eastern Anatolia.
