Muan International Airport is the international airport serving Gwangju, Mokpo and the wider Jeollanam-do region in southwestern South Korea. It opened in November 2007 to take over international services from Gwangju Airport and domestic services from Mokpo Airport.
Located in Mangun-myeon, Muan-gun, the airport operates a single passenger terminal with domestic and international zones and handles scheduled flights to and from domestic and international destinations. It acts as a convenient gateway for the southwest coast and nearby islands.
The airport is connected to the region by the Seohaean Expressway and the Muan–Gwangju Expressway, with buses, taxis, car rental and private transfers providing onward travel to Mokpo, Gwangju and surrounding areas.
