About Lianshulu Lodge Airstrip
Lianshulu Lodge Airstrip is a small private airfield in Namibia's Zambezi Region, set near Mudumu National Park and the Kwando River. It mainly serves safari guests traveling to Lianshulu Lodge and Lianshulu Bush Lodge, with most flights operated as private charters or lodge transfers.
The airfield has a single gravel runway oriented 11/29 and measuring about 1,310 metres, at an elevation of roughly 958 metres. As a bush airstrip it has no passenger terminal, and arrivals, baggage handling and onward transfers are coordinated by the lodges or charter operators.
The nearest lodges are only a short drive away, while the town of Kongola lies to the north and Katima Mulilo, the regional centre, is around 140 km away by road. Access routes combine the tarred B8 with gravel sections such as the C49 and D3518, so a 4x4 is recommended, especially in the wet season.
Although passenger facilities at the airstrip are limited, the nearby lodges provide accommodation, dining and safari activities, making LHU a convenient gateway for visitors exploring Mudumu National Park and the wider Caprivi area.
