About Kirkuk International Airport
Kirkuk International Airport is the main airport serving the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk and the surrounding governorate. Inaugurated on 16 October 2022, it became the city's first international airport after the former military air base was redeveloped for civil aviation.
Located southwest of central Kirkuk, the airport is built around a single passenger terminal and has the capacity to handle about 3.5 million passengers annually. It supports international flights as well as civil aviation services, connecting Kirkuk with regional and international destinations.
