Nasiriyah Airport is a joint public and military airport serving Nasiriyah and Dhi Qar Governorate in southern Iraq. The airfield has been known as Ali Air Base and formerly as Tallil Air Base, reflecting its long military role, while a civil passenger section opened in 2017.
Located about 23 km southwest of central Nasiriyah, the airport has two main runways and a modern air traffic control tower completed in 2010. It supports domestic passenger flights alongside military aviation and is a useful access point for visitors heading to the ancient city of Ur and the Mesopotamian Marshes.
