Kharkiv International Airport (HRK) is the main air gateway to Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city, and the wider Kharkiv region. Passenger flights have been suspended since February 2022 because of the war in Ukraine, and normal transfer options to the city centre and nearby destinations are currently unavailable.

About Kharkiv International Airport
Kharkiv International Airport is the main airport serving Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city, and the wider Kharkiv region. A new passenger terminal opened in August 2010 as part of preparations for UEFA Euro 2012, and the earlier 1950s terminal building was later renovated for use as a VIP terminal.
Located about 10 km south of central Kharkiv, the airport previously served domestic and international flights and acted as a regional gateway for eastern Ukraine. Its main passenger facility, Terminal A, handled both domestic and international traffic, while cargo operations and a VIP terminal completed the airport's infrastructure.
Ground access is provided by trolleybus and bus routes as well as the M18 road, with car travel to the city centre typically taking around 20 minutes. Car rental desks are located in Terminal A, and taxis and private transfers have connected the airport with hotels and business districts across Kharkiv.
Since 24 February 2022, Ukraine's airspace has been closed to civilian flights because of the Russian invasion, and all passenger operations at Kharkiv International Airport have been suspended indefinitely.
