Chernivtsi International Airport serves the city of Chernivtsi and the surrounding Bukovina region in western Ukraine. The airport was inaugurated on 24 May 1933, and in September 2018 it was named after Ukrainian astronaut Leonid Kadeniuk.
Located about 5 km southeast of central Chernivtsi, the airport is within the city limits and provides a compact gateway for domestic and international travel. It has one passenger terminal and a 2,216-metre runway, with passenger services concentrated in a single terminal building.
