About Al Bayda Airport
Al Bayda Airport is a small airfield serving the town of Al Bayda and the surrounding Al-Bayda Governorate in central Yemen. It functions primarily as a domestic aviation link for the local area rather than a large international hub.
The airport is located roughly 20 km northwest of Al Bayda city and operates with limited infrastructure, including a single unpaved runway. Its role is mainly to support domestic connectivity and local air access in a region where road travel is the principal means of transport.
Passenger facilities are basic, and the airport handles a modest volume of flights. Travelers typically continue from the airport by road, with private vehicles, taxis and arranged transfers providing onward connections to the city centre and nearby districts.
Despite its small scale, Al Bayda Airport serves as a practical entry point for visitors and local travelers moving within Al-Bayda Governorate and nearby parts of central Yemen.
