Situated only a few kilometres from central Adana, it offers quick access to the city centre and nearby towns, while scheduled flights now operate from Çukurova International Airport.

About Adana Şakirpaşa Airport
Adana Şakirpaşa Airport is a general aviation airport in the Seyhan district of Adana, in southern Turkey. Opened in 1937 as a civil-military airfield, it became a full civil airport in 1956 and long served as one of the country's oldest operating airports.
For nearly nine decades the airport was the main commercial gateway for Adana and the wider Çukurova region, connecting the city to domestic and international routes. Its compact layout included domestic and international passenger terminals, with an international terminal opened in 1997.
Located in the Şakirpaşa area about 2–4 km west of central Adana, the airport offered very short journeys to the city centre and easy access to local roads. Scheduled commercial flights moved to Çukurova International Airport on 10 August 2024, and the site now serves private aviation, pilot training and air sports.
Today the airport remains a convenient entry point for general aviation traffic visiting Adana, with road links, taxis and private transfer options connecting it to the city centre and surrounding destinations.
