Izmir

Izmir is Turkey's third-largest city and its main Aegean port, set around a sweeping gulf lined by palm-shaded promenades and backed by hills. Historically known as Smyrna, the city combines a relaxed coastal lifestyle with a long trading heritage, modern universities and one of the country's busiest commercial harbours.
