About Yanji Chaoyangchuan International Airport
Yanji Chaoyangchuan International Airport is the main airport serving Yanji and the Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture in northeastern Jilin Province. It originated as a military airfield built in 1952 and was converted to civil-military use in 1985, with the first passenger terminal completed in September 1988.
Located about 5 km southwest of downtown Yanji, the airport handles domestic flights to major Chinese cities as well as international routes to destinations such as Seoul, Busan, Osaka, and Vladivostok. It operates as a 4C-class civil-military joint-use airport and is the only civil aviation airport in the prefecture.
Passengers can reach the city by taxi, several city bus lines, and intercity coaches serving nearby places such as Hunchun, Dunhua, Wangqing, Longjing, and Helong. The compact terminal places arrivals and departures in a single building, making onward travel relatively straightforward.
