Located in Sartu District, the airport sits about 17–20 km from central Daqing. It operates as a class 4C airport with a single passenger terminal building of around 14,000 square metres, a 2,600-metre runway, arrivals on the first floor and departures on the second floor. An international terminal has been under development to expand capacity.
Ground transportation links the airport to the city by shuttle bus, with services to downtown Daqing and Daqing East Railway Station, plus a separate route toward Qiqihar. Taxis and road connections provide further options for reaching the city centre and surrounding areas.
