About Techo International Airport
Techo International Airport is Cambodia's newest main international gateway, serving Phnom Penh and the wider Kandal Province region. Opened in 2025, it replaced the former Phnom Penh International Airport as the capital's primary airport. The terminal was designed by Foster + Partners and opened with capacity for millions of passengers in its first phase, with room for future expansion.
Located about 20–25 km south of central Phnom Penh, the airport serves domestic and international flights and handles both leisure and business travellers. Its single terminal building features a central head house and boarding piers, with arrivals on the ground level and departures above.
The airport is connected to Phnom Penh by National Highway 2 and Hun Sen Boulevard, with taxis, private transfers, rental cars and other ground transport available for continuing into the city and nearby areas.
Facilities include restaurants, cafés, duty-free shopping, lounges, currency exchange, ATMs, Wi-Fi and onward travel services, making it a convenient gateway for visitors arriving in Cambodia's capital region.
