About Tampere-Pirkkala Airport

Opened in 1979, it replaced the earlier Tampere-Härmälä airfield and has since developed into one of Finland's busiest regional airports, with most of its passenger traffic being international.
Located in Pirkkala, about 17 kilometres southwest of Tampere city centre, the airport connects the region to destinations across Europe. Its passenger facilities are arranged across two terminals: Terminal 1 for scheduled and charter flights, and Terminal 2 for Ryanair and international low-cost services.
The airport is reached from Tampere by bus line 103, which serves the train and bus stations in the city centre, as well as by taxi, private transfer, and road links. This makes onward travel to Tampere, Pirkkala, Nokia, and nearby areas straightforward.
With a café, free Wi-Fi, charging points, meeting rooms, and accessibility services, Tampere-Pirkkala Airport provides a compact and convenient gateway for both leisure and business travellers arriving in the Tampere region.
