About Suvarnabhumi Airport
Suvarnabhumi Airport is Thailand's main international airport and the primary gateway to Bangkok and the wider region. Opened in September 2006, it serves both international and domestic flights and is one of the busiest airports in Southeast Asia.
Located in Bang Phli District, Samut Prakan Province, about 30 km east of central Bangkok, the airport connects travelers to destinations across Thailand and around the world. Its facilities include a large main passenger terminal and the newer Satellite Terminal 1, which is linked by an automated people mover.
The Airport Rail Link provides direct train service to the city, while taxis, public buses, private transfers and road connections offer additional ways to reach central Bangkok and other areas of Thailand.
