Salavan Airport (VNA) is a small domestic airport serving Salavan town and the wider Salavan Province in southern Laos. It provides a regional air link to this part of the country and supports travel to surrounding areas, although scheduled commercial services have operated only intermittently in recent years.
The airport is located about 4 km from the centre of Salavan, making the town easy to reach by road for passengers arriving or departing. Its single runway and compact passenger terminal reflect the airport's role as a provincial facility rather than a major international hub.
Historically, Salavan Airport has seen limited commercial operations. A basic passenger terminal was developed in the mid-2010s, and a short-lived scheduled service connected Salavan with Pakse and Vientiane in 2016 before being suspended due to low demand. The airport remains available for smaller aircraft, charter and emergency operations.
The surrounding region is known for the Bolaven Plateau, a coffee-growing area, and for its position between Pakse and the borders with Vietnam and Cambodia.
