Rukum Chaurjahari Airport is a small domestic airfield serving Chaurjahari and Western Rukum District in Karnali Province, Nepal. It sits about 1.5 km south of Chaurjahari town and has historically provided a useful air link for the local population.
The airport opened in 1973 and originally operated with a grass and clay runway. The runway was later blacktopped in 2014, upgrading the airfield from its earlier unpaved condition. In recent years, however, scheduled commercial services have been suspended and the airport has seen little regular traffic.
The airfield has a single asphalt runway, numbered 03/21, measuring about 600 metres in length, along with one small passenger terminal. Its facilities are basic, with limited passenger amenities, no refueling service, and no runway lighting.
Because the airport is close to Chaurjahari town, the town centre is only a short road journey away. Onward travel across Western Rukum and neighbouring districts is mostly by local road, and private transfers or pre-arranged vehicles are the most practical options when flights are operating.
