Qeqertaq Heliport is a small public heliport serving the settlement of Qeqertaq, an island village off the southern shore of the Nuussuaq Peninsula in western Greenland. Because the settlement has no road connection to larger towns, the heliport is an essential transport link for the community, providing Air Greenland helicopter services under a government contract.
The heliport consists of a single gravel landing area with one helipad and has no passenger terminal building, which is why it is often classified as a helistop. It lies within the village, so passengers can reach homes and guesthouses in Qeqertaq on foot shortly after arriving.
Flights are typically seasonal and operate mainly in winter and spring, connecting Qeqertaq with Ilulissat, the district's main town around 90 km to the south. The helicopter journey to Ilulissat takes about 30 minutes, making it the fastest way to reach regional services and onward connections.
During summer and autumn, when the waters of Disko Bay are navigable, travel is mainly by sea, with Diskoline ferries linking Qeqertaq to nearby settlements such as Saqqaq and Oqaatsut and onward to Ilulissat.
