About Pori Airport
Pori Airport is a regional airport serving the city of Pori and the Satakunta region on Finland's west coast. Traffic began in 1939 and the runways were completed in 1941, making it one of Finland's long-established aviation sites.
Located about 2 km south of Pori city centre and roughly 50 km from Rauma, the airport provides a scheduled connection to Helsinki together with charter and general aviation traffic. It is also home to the Finnish Aviation Academy, the country's most important flight training centre.
The current terminal dates from the 1960s and houses check-in, security, arrivals and passenger services in a compact layout. The main runway was extended to 2,350 metres in 2001.
There is no bus connection to the airport, so travellers mainly reach the city by taxi, rental car or private transfer, with short-term parking directly in front of the terminal.
