Pakuba Airport (PAF)

Pakuba Airport is a small public airfield serving Pakuba and Murchison Falls National Park in Nwoya District, northwestern Uganda. Operated by the Civil Aviation Authority of Uganda, it is one of five upcountry airports authorized to handle cross-border air traffic from East African Community member countries, a role designed to support tourism across the region.

The airfield has a single unpaved murram runway measuring about 1,760 metres, suitable mainly for light aircraft and charter flights. It sits inside the national park, close to the Albert Nile, and provides direct access for safari travellers visiting the falls and the area's wildlife.

Pakuba is about 275 km by air northwest of Entebbe International Airport and roughly 26 km from Pakwach, the nearest town, while Masindi lies about 95 km away by road. Most arrivals continue by lodge transfer, safari vehicle, private transfer or chauffeur service to camps and lodges within the park.

Passenger facilities are basic, with a terminal building and aviation security, while accommodation is available at lodges and camps inside the park. Fuel, customs and immigration services are not offered on site, so visitors should plan those needs before travelling.
