Okayama Momotaro Airport is the main airport serving Okayama City and the surrounding Okayama Prefecture. Opened in March 1988 as a replacement for an earlier city airport, it has become a compact regional gateway connecting western Japan with domestic and international destinations.
Located about 18 km northwest of central Okayama, the airport handles domestic services to Tokyo, Okinawa and Sapporo, along with international flights to Seoul, Shanghai and Taipei.
