About Oberpfaffenhofen Airport
Oberpfaffenhofen Airport is a dedicated business aviation airport serving Munich and Upper Bavaria. Established in 1936 as the Dornier works airfield, it has grown into a hub for corporate aviation, aerospace companies and research institutions west of the Bavarian capital.
Located about 25 km west of central Munich near the A96 motorway, the airport provides an efficient alternative for private and business flights. It operates a single asphalt runway (04/22) and a general aviation terminal opened in 2021, with FBO services provided by operators such as Oberpfaffenhofen Aviation Service and Rheinland Air Service.
The airport is close to the S-Bahn network, with Weßling and Neugilching stations providing rail access to Munich, while taxis, private transfers and road links support onward journeys to Lake Starnberg, the Bavarian Alps and business locations across the region.
With lounge facilities, crew offices, meeting rooms and valet parking, the airport supports corporate and private travellers seeking convenient access to Munich and southern Bavaria.
