About Nuremberg Airport
Nuremberg Airport is the main international airport serving Nuremberg and the Franconia region of northern Bavaria. The airport has operated from its current site since 1955 and is one of Bavaria's largest airports, functioning as a compact gateway for both business and leisure travellers.
Located about 5 km north of central Nuremberg, the airport handles domestic and international flights to destinations across Europe and selected holiday routes. Its single passenger terminal contains two departure halls and one arrivals hall with around 40 check-in desks, keeping transfer distances short and straightforward.
The airport is directly connected to Nuremberg Central Station by the U2 underground line, which takes around 12 minutes, and is also served by bus lines 30, 33 and the NightLiner N12 to Erlangen, Fürth and Nuremberg. Taxis are available around the clock, and the Lufthansa Express Bus provides a connection to Munich Airport, with road access via the A3 motorway.
