Niaqornat Heliport is the only air link for Niaqornat, a small settlement on the northern coast of the Nuussuaq Peninsula in northwestern Greenland. The heliport provides essential domestic helicopter connections that tie the remote village into Greenland's regional transport network.
The facility is classed as a helistop rather than a full airport, with a basic landing area and no passenger terminal building. Air Greenland operates scheduled helicopter flights between Niaqornat and Uummannaq Heliport under a public-service contract, with the journey taking roughly 25 minutes and covering about 58 km.
From Uummannaq, travellers can continue by helicopter or fixed-wing flights through Qaarsut Airport to destinations elsewhere in Greenland. Niaqornat has no road connections to other settlements, so the heliport and boat services are the main ways in and out.
