About Nagasaki Airport
Nagasaki Airport is the main airport serving Nagasaki City and Nagasaki Prefecture. Opened on 1 May 1975, it was built on a reclaimed island in Ōmura Bay and is recognized as Japan's first full-scale offshore airport.
The airport has a single passenger terminal with check-in and arrivals on the first floor, security screening and departure gates on the second floor, and an observation deck on the third floor. It handles domestic flights to Tokyo, Osaka and other Japanese cities, plus international services to destinations such as Seoul and Shanghai.
Located in the city of Ōmura, about 18 km from central Nagasaki, the airport is connected by airport buses, taxis, rental cars and scheduled ferries to Togitsu and Huis Ten Bosch. Bus services link the terminal with Nagasaki Station, Sasebo, Huis Ten Bosch, Isahaya and other regional destinations.
