Langeoog Airport (LGO)

Langeoog Airport is a small regional airfield on the East Frisian island of Langeoog in the North Sea. Opened in 1929, it serves as the island's air gateway for private pilots, air taxi passengers and seasonal scheduled flights, with a single 600-metre runway suitable for light aircraft and helicopters.

The airport lies about one kilometre southeast of the village centre, a short distance from the island railway station and roughly two kilometres from the ferry harbour. Its compact terminal building handles check-in and arrivals on a small scale, and operations are seasonal during the warmer months or by prior arrangement in winter.

Because Langeoog is largely car-free, onward travel is typically by foot, electric taxi or hotel transfer, while the nearby ferry and railway connections link the island with the mainland. The airfield offers a simple, convenient arrival point for visitors seeking direct access to the dunes, beach and town.

With its location beside the village and close to local transport links, the airport provides a practical gateway for travellers arriving by air taxi from mainland airports such as Emden, Norden-Norddeich, Harlesiel or Bremen.
