About Huizhou Pingtan Airport
Huizhou Pingtan Airport is the main civil airport serving Huizhou, a city in Guangdong Province's Pearl River Delta and Greater Bay Area. Civil aviation services resumed at the airport in February 2015, and the newer Terminal 2 opened in August 2019 to support growing domestic passenger traffic.
Located in Pingtan Town, Huiyang District, the airport is about 21 km from central Huizhou. It mainly handles domestic flights and connects Huizhou with cities across China, serving leisure and business travelers in the surrounding region.
Terminal 2 covers approximately 16,300 square metres and is equipped with four boarding bridges and eight aircraft parking stands. The compact terminal layout places check-in, security, waiting, dining and arrivals facilities within a short walking distance.
The airport is reached by taxi, ride-hailing, airport shuttle bus and private road transfers, with travel to the Huizhou city centre normally taking around 30–45 minutes depending on traffic. These links also support onward travel to Huiyang, Daya Bay and other parts of the Greater Bay Area.
