About Harbin Pingfang Airport
Harbin Pingfang Airport is a general aviation airport serving Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang Province in Northeast China. It is located in Pingfang District, about 18 km south of central Harbin, and operates alongside military aviation activities as an A1-class, military-civil shared airfield.
Owned by AVIC Harbin Aircraft Industry and operated by China Flying Dragon General Aviation, the airport was put into official operation in December 2020 with the launch of a Harbin–Yichun short-haul route combining scheduled passenger transport and low-altitude tourism.
The compact passenger terminal has a check-in counter, a security channel, a waiting area, a tea and rest corner, and Wi-Fi. A metro station is a short drive away, and the airport can be reached by taxi, private transfer, chauffeur service or rental car for the journey into central Harbin.
Although much smaller than Harbin Taiping International Airport, Pingfang Airport provides an alternative gateway for short-haul and general aviation travel in the Harbin area and Heilongjiang region.
