About Guyuan Liupanshan Airport
Guyuan Liupanshan Airport is a 4C-class domestic regional airport serving Guyuan in southern Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. Opened on 26 June 2010, it became the third civil airport in Ningxia and ended Guyuan's status as a city without air connections.
The airport is located near Pengbao Town in Yuanzhou District, northwest of central Guyuan, and mainly handles domestic routes. Its compact terminal covers about 3,500 square metres, and the 2,800-metre runway can accommodate Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 series aircraft.
Guyuan Liupanshan Airport connects the city with destinations including Yinchuan, Xi'an, Tianjin, Shanghai, Fuzhou and Chongqing, supporting both regional travel and longer domestic journeys. The airport is roughly 10 to 13 kilometres from central Guyuan.
Passengers can reach the city centre by airport shuttle bus, city bus line 1, taxi, private transfer or rental car, with the shuttle journey taking around 30 minutes. The airport also serves as a practical starting point for trips to the Liupan Mountains tourist zone and nearby areas such as Pingliang.
